I meant 'up north' generally really. No, I came back down the A1...I ended up on the east side where the better weather was. ;)

Weather was a bit strange for the time of the year. Normally it is wet and windy but not as cold as it was in June.

Bit far out of your way but give it a try , you would not regret it. :D

One of these days I will go there again, but when I'm heading north I seem to go mad and keep going.
Yes, it was proper cold this year, I don't remember ever shivering in June. I love june best of all.

Ah, that's because you stay on the East coast. Hang a left at Scotch Corner and keep going till you get to Keswick. Stop the night in your camper and continue the next day to Scotland.

It was a cool this June and we had to wrap up on setting out in the mornings. We have done June for 7 years and one September last year.

Oh I started in the west this time but went east for the better weather. Yes, I was in Scotland last September. Never again, wow, was it ever cold. And windy.

The Lakes were fine last September and we were tempted to go again this year but June is more convenient. Could be in the Azores in September. :w00t:

If I had enough money I would rent that boathouse for a month. This is the best picture of it I've seen. They should use it on their website. [link]
